As an important part of cosmetic packaging, the cleanliness and hygiene of cosmetic pumps directly affect the safety of products and the consumer's experience. In the production process of cosmetics and in the daily use of products in the hands of consumers, the cleaning and disinfection of pumps are particularly important.
Preparation before cleaning
Before cleaning, you first need to ensure safety. For electric cosmetic pumps, be sure to disconnect the power supply or remove the battery to prevent the risk of electric shock or short circuit. Next, according to the design of the pump, carefully disassemble the pump head to clean the inside of the pump body more deeply. It is also key to choose a cleaning tool suitable for the pump material. It is recommended to use a soft brush, sponge or special cleaning cloth, and avoid using metal brushes or hard tools to prevent scratching the surface of the pump body.
Cleaning steps
During the cleaning process, first perform a preliminary rinse. Use warm water to perform a preliminary rinse on the pump head and pump body to remove dirt and residual cosmetics on the surface. The next step is to use a mild detergent, choose a non-irritating detergent, and avoid using products containing strong acids, strong alkalis or corrosive ingredients to avoid damage to the pump body material or affect the subsequent disinfection effect. When performing detailed cleaning, use a soft brush or sponge to gently wipe the pump head and the inside of the pump body, paying special attention to the connection between the pump head and the pump body, the piston or gears, and other parts that are easy to hide dirt. Finally, be sure to thoroughly rinse the pump head and pump body with clean water to ensure that all detergent residues are cleaned.
Disinfection steps
After cleaning, disinfection is an important part of ensuring the hygiene of the pump body. According to the material of the pump body and the disinfection requirements, choose a suitable disinfectant, such as 75% alcohol, hydrogen peroxide or a special disinfectant spray. Chlorine bleach should be avoided to avoid corrosion to the pump body. When disinfecting, the disinfectant can be evenly sprayed on the surface of the pump head and the pump body, or soaked in a diluted disinfectant solution. It should be noted that the soaking time should not be too long to avoid damage to the material. After disinfection, place the pump head and pump body in a well-ventilated place to dry naturally. Do not wipe with a towel to avoid secondary contamination.
Precautions after cleaning and disinfection
After cleaning and disinfection, carefully check whether the pump body is damaged or deformed, and ensure that the pump head and pump body are tightly connected and there is no leakage. When reassembling, follow the reverse order of disassembly to ensure that all parts are installed correctly and avoid looseness. Finally, the cleaned and disinfected cosmetic pump should be stored in a dry, ventilated, light-proof environment to avoid long-term exposure to high temperature, humidity or corrosive environment to extend its service life.
