As an important component of product packaging such as cosmetics, skin care products and detergents, the performance and application effect of spray pumps are closely related to storage conditions. Proper storage conditions can not only extend the service life of spray pumps, but also ensure the stability and safety of products.
Temperature management
Temperature is a key factor affecting the performance of spray pumps and their contents. The ideal storage temperature range of spray pumps is 15°C to 25°C. Too high a temperature may cause deformation of the pump body material, seal failure, and may even cause decomposition or deterioration of the contents. On the contrary, too low a temperature may cause solidification or precipitation of liquid components, thereby affecting the spray effect. Therefore, the storage environment should avoid direct sunlight and high temperatures, especially in summer, and effective cooling measures should be taken to ensure the stability of storage conditions.
Humidity control
Humidity also has a significant impact on spray pumps. Too high a humidity environment may cause the metal parts inside the spray pump to rust, while the plastic parts may deform or age due to moisture absorption. Therefore, the storage environment of the spray pump should be kept in a relatively dry state, and the optimal relative humidity should be controlled between 30% and 50%. The use of a dehumidifier or desiccant can effectively adjust the humidity of the storage environment and ensure the safety of the spray pump and its contents.
Avoid direct sunlight
Direct sunlight will not only cause the storage environment temperature to rise, but ultraviolet rays may also damage the materials of the spray pump. In particular, plastic materials are prone to aging, discoloration or embrittlement when exposed to sunlight for a long time. Therefore, the spray pump should be stored in a cool, dark place, and it is best to use light-shielding packaging or storage containers to protect the spray pump and its contents from the effects of light.
Avoid contact with chemicals
The storage environment of the spray pump should be away from chemicals such as strong acids, strong alkalis and solvents. These chemicals may corrode the materials of the spray pump, affecting its sealing performance and service life. In addition, the odor and volatile components of the chemicals may also have a negative impact on the liquid components in the spray pump, causing the product to deteriorate. Therefore, the storage area should be kept clean and avoid mixing with other chemicals to reduce potential risks.
Prevent mechanical damage
During storage, the spray pump should be protected from mechanical shock or extrusion to prevent damage to the pump body and nozzle. The spray pump should be placed on a stable shelf to avoid tipping or falling. At the same time, heavy objects should be avoided from being stacked on top of the spray pump during storage to prevent deformation or breakage due to heavy pressure. Using dedicated storage boxes or pallets can effectively reduce the risk of mechanical damage and ensure the safety of the spray pump during storage.
